Biography

Michael Ferron began his career in Big Eight Public Accounting with a specialty in positioning privately held companies for initial public offerings and advising on merger, acquisition, and leverage buyout scenarios. In 1990, he accepted the Chief Financial Officer position at California Amplifier (Now CalAmp), then a small Camarillo, CA based microwave electronics manufacturer.

Instrumental in developing a divestiture plan for its government defense focused microwave components business, Ferron invested personal funds in a private placement to raise capital for entry into emerging consumer video delivery markets. As CFO with a 2% beneficial ownership, Ferron helped California Amplifier (NASDAQ: CAMP) increase annual revenues from $10 million to $125 million and market capitalization from $4 million to over $200 million over an eleven-year tenure. In 1999, Ferron lead on a crucial acquisition which positioned California Amplifier to become a leading supplier in the US DBS satellite television market.

Ferron’s accounting and financial expertise coupled with a long tenure advising public companies, his direct experience leading a public company, and his working relationship with Wall Street for over two decades coalesce to sophisticated proficiency in evaluating specific factors that may impact the market capitalization of public companies and quantifying impacts to a company’s common stock.

Ferron is a graduate of Santa Clara University where he received a bachelors degree in Accounting with honors, and lettered in varsity football.
